Our Story

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

We are Alicia and Michelle, two Alberta girls who became fast friends through our shared passion for horses

and sense of adventure. Between raising our families, caring for our animals, and running Mane and Feather,

life keeps us busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

When we're not in the saddle or wrangling kids, you'll find us creating and bringing our love for the

Western lifestyle into every piece we design.

Whether you're a fellow rider, a dreamer of open skies, or someone who appreciates the beauty of nature

and the Western way of life, we hope you find something here that speaks to you.

Welcome to Mane and Feather, we're so glad you're here!

About Us

Alicia is the talented artist of Mane and Feather who has always had a lifelong passion for creativity. From an early age, she found joy in sketching horses, a love that has only grown over the years. Now, she brings that same artistic dedication to her work, crafting stunning designs that capture the beauty and spirit of the Western lifestyle.

Alicia lives on an acreage outside of Okotoks, Alberta with her husband Ryan, their son,

Dusten, and their daughter, Aryanna. Their lively home is shared with a whole crew of animals,

including Storm the devoted and affectionate cattle dog, Badger the barn cat who rules the

roost, three amazing horses - Wally, Thor and Izzy - and don't forget their oh so fun and

charming herd of ducks!

Horses have always been a central part of Alicia's life, and she has a special connection with

her horse Wally, you can often find her building her bond with him through liberty work.

Beyond Mane and Feather's standard offerings, Alicia is a skilled leather tooling artist and is always up for any custom order challenge.

Her passion for capturing the beauty of horses extends to photography, where she specializes in stunning equine portraits.

Alicia's creativity shines not only in her artwork but in the way she embraces life - blending her love for animals, nature, and artistic expression into everything she does.

Michelle lives near Millarville, Alberta, with her husband Jarrod, their daughter, Katelyn, and their son, Tristan. The acreage is also home to their furry family members including a loyal Maremma dog, two cats, and four horses.
